Legal Assistants, also called legal administrative assistants, legal secretaries or executive assistants, perform crucial functions required for the efficient operation of a legal office. Go beyond common clerical duties such as keyboarding, dictation and phones, by learning additional specialized skills unique to the legal profession such as legal ethics and responsibilities, specialties of law and legal document preparation.

Interpersonal communications and strong organizational skills will assist you in becoming an important participant in the legal environment.

The vast majority of legal assistants work in law firms; other employment environments may include government and judicial agencies, corporate legal departments and human resource departments.

Class Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m., 600 hours/20 weeks, includes a 4-week work-based experience
