We provide Career & Technical Education programs that are affordable, short-term and convenient for the adult learner. Course curriculum is industry-specific and emphasizes practical application of key concepts and skills, utilizing the latest technology. We provide a student-centered learning environment where students learn from highly knowledgeable teachers with years of industry experience. Students who successfully complete a program will have the knowledge and skills needed to secure employment in a variety of industry sectors such as Healthcare, Office, Information Technology, Advanced Manufacturing and Skilled Trades, and Hospitality.
Our continuing education courses offer individuals a convenient and affordable way to upgrade their current skills, while still maintaining employment. These career-related courses are offered during evening and Saturday hours to accommodate the needs of the adult learner.
FREE academic classes are available to individuals 21 years of age or older who are without a high school diploma and who need to prepare for the TASC™ (high school equivalency diploma) exam. Our academic classes focus on the essential skills needed to enter the workforce, and emphasize the reading, writing, and mathematical skills needed for employment. We also provide English classes for English language learners. Classes are offered in numerous formats to best meet the needs of a diverse population.
CWD partners with the local business community to provide customized workforce training programs for their employees. We offer a variety of programming from office information technology to blueprint reading; from forklift training to business writing. Our collaborative approach to curriculum enables us to provide a specialized course that meets the needs of both the employer and employee.
